Instead of a forest of regulations, which are often obsolete or not being followed, we need sustainable forests in the Western Balkans. Public policies on biomass energy use should be informed by such criteria as the cascading principles of the European Union and other filters. We will collect inputs for a public policy platform intended for decision-makers and development partners in the Western Balkans in three thematic sessions, on knowledge, economics and policy for net 0 biomass.
